Beyond the panel

Get the important details
into the estimate.

01 / PREPARATION

Know what is underneath.

Roof slope, existing roofing, deck condition and any required repairs shape the installation plan. Tear-off, replacement decking and preparation are itemized when included.

02 / WATER MANAGEMENT

Plan the transitions.

Eaves, valleys, sidewalls, end walls, pipes and other penetrations need their own flashing and sealant details. Ice-and-water protection is specified where required.

03 / VENTILATION

Balance intake and exhaust.

Vented components work as part of a roof and attic design. We review intake, exhaust and air paths rather than assuming a vented closure alone provides enough ventilation.

Synthetic underlayment is a secondary water-shedding layer. It is not a self-adhered ice-and-water membrane. Any required membrane protection is a separate part of the roof specification.

Good questions

Before you
choose a package.

What changes with WeatherGuard Plus?

The core 26-gauge, 3-foot-coverage panel format stays the same. Plus specifies a Kynar 500 finish, Titanium UDL30 underlayment, a planned intake-and-exhaust ventilation detail, premium fasteners and an extended ridge cap.

Are the panel fasteners hidden?

WeatherGuard and WeatherGuard Plus use exposed panel fasteners. For a clip-and-cap concealed-fastener option, compare ConcealGuard.

Does Plus include a solar fan?

No. Remington Solar attic ventilation is an optional upgrade evaluated for suitability and quoted separately.

What warranty is included?

Your written proposal identifies the selected materials and applicable manufacturer and installation coverage. Finish, fastener and other component warranties have their own terms; no single blanket warranty is implied here.

Which one is right for my home?

We start with the roof condition, slope, exposure, attic ventilation, finish preferences and budget. Then we can compare a clearly defined scope for each option.
