Two Neighboring Homes, Two Interlock Slate Metal Roofs on Broad Street in Durham
One homeowner chose Metal Roof NC for two houses next door to each other on Broad Street in Durham. Both roofs were completed in July 2023 using Interlock Deep Charcoal Slate aluminum roofing. These are photographs of the real installation—not renderings or sample homes.
How the two-roof project came together
Rather than replacing one roof, this project involved two neighboring houses owned by the same customer. Metal Roof NC supplied and installed Deep Charcoal Interlock Slate roofing on both. Company order records document material purchases in April and June 2023. The installation records list completion of both roofs on July 25, 2023, and subsequent correspondence documents the manufacturer’s warranty paperwork.
Using the same slate-profile aluminum roofing on both homes created a coordinated appearance along Broad Street while preserving the individual rooflines of each property. The photos below show different stages and angles from the job; the available email photo labels do not establish which numbered house appears in every image, so we don’t assign these particular photos to one property number.

What makes these photos useful for Durham homeowners?
Photos from a completed installation can show how the roofing profile behaves around actual features—not only on a brochure sample. These drone views document the Slate pattern across multiple roof slopes, hip and ridge transitions, the small covered front entrance, roof vents and the roof perimeter. They provide an authentic local example of a slate-like appearance created with aluminum roofing.
The pictures alone cannot prove hidden underlayment, fastening specifications, workmanship quality or future performance. Those details belong in each home’s written roofing proposal and the manufacturer’s applicable installation and warranty documents.
